I’ve always found it funny that the geographic midpoint of the Big Ten was near Syracuse, Indiana, a town about 30 miles southeast of South Bend. With the addition of the Pac-12 schools, the new geographic center has moved west but the closest Power 5 school still isn’t in the Big Ten. The new geographic center is now in a cornfield 17 miles east of Ames, Iowa.

Sorry Notre Dame, you’ve been replaced by Iowa State.
