HOWDY all CFB lovers! After another absolutely wild game of college football, I am back to rank another crazy upcoming week of games. At the halfway point of the season, a lot of programs are starting to think about postseason possibilities. A lot of programs are already bowl eligible, and others are looking to get eligible this week. Hoping for another great week of ballgames. These past 4 weeks have been absolutely phenomenal.

BONUS: 2024 CFB Refereeing Crew @ Beer Can Mania

What in the world has the refereeing crew been on this weekend? Stupidity? Blindness? Puppets to gambling? This has to be one of the worst weekends of refeering that I have ever seen in CFB. After witnessing an abomination of calls at Texas A&M/MISSSTATE, UNLV/ORE STATE, and that ridiculous UGA/TEX PI overturn, I seriously think that the referees need to be investigated immediately and fired. You simply cannot be making these tomfoolery calls just because you feel like doing so. It’s not like they’re making simple mistakes too. These calls are massive, and changes the entire momentum of the game. They’re drive-killing calls, and you know its terrible when fans from BOTH sides are agreeing that the calls are absolutely terrible. This is a major problem. The officiating is tainting the sport we all love, and something needs to be done with these refs. Enroll them in Football Academy because clearly, they do not know ball.

33. The 2024 Nerds Bowl: Dartmouth @ Columbia

Don’t look now, but Dartmouth is currently the leader in the Ivy League, boasting a perfect 5-0 record and 2-0 in conference. They travel this week to play the team that’s 2nd place in the conference: Columbia. With a 4-1 overall record and also a 2-0 in conference record, it is intriguing to see which school has the better nerds.

32. Washington State @ San Diego State

Wait, we’re talking about SDSU in college football…? Not basketball…??

31. Utah @ Houston

Utah. You’re cooked. Got humiliated by Sonny Dykes’s TCU squad. I don’t even know what to even say. Isaac Wilson is clearly not that guy. Where do you go from here? I genuinely cannot say. I mean I guess at least yall play Houston this week? It’s not like its a good thing anyways. Houston is awful. Got annihilated by KANSAS last week. Just two bad teams going at it here.

30. Oregon State @ California

Oregon State lost to UNLV after just an ugly showing by them. Horrible refs aside, you just have way too many missed opportunities on both offense and defense to put this game away. Things are not looking good for the beavers. Now losing against 2 teams in the Mountain West, it may be time to pack things up. California is not much better. Facing the same problems as Oregon State in their inability to capitalize on key moments in the game, they are also going to struggle, especially after losing to a very bad NC State team. Another game of bad VS bad here.

29. Oklahoma @ #18 Ole Miss

OU…come on…yall have to have something, right? Embarrassed by South Carolina at home, its safe to say that Oklahoma is pretty much done for the season.

28. Northwestern @ Iowa

Not much to say here either. Northwestern got blown out by Wisconsin last week, while Iowa suffered a bad loss to Michigan State. Iowa is more bipolar than my ex. Dropping 40 on Washington and then laying a mini-Ferentz 20 special to Michigan State and losing. Seems like Iowa needs a defense.

27. Auburn @ Kentucky

Well…this is another two games of embarrassment here. Auburn lost to Missouri after starter Brady Cook went down in the first quarter, then came back in the 4th to make a comeback. Hugh Freeze should get tarmacked for that performance. Kentucky got absolutely boatraced by a Billy Napier Florida team. That Ole Miss win is looking more and more sus as the weeks go on. Not much else to say here for this one.

26. Texas Tech @ TCU

Texas Tech needs to fire its defensive coordinator immediately. What on world happened in Lubbock last week? How do you let a 2-4 Baylor team roll up onto your own turf and drop almost 60 points on you? Someone tell the team that the season doesn’t end after going 5-1.

25. North Carolina @ Virginia

UNC comes from a pretty needed bye week after losing to Tech in the Geoff Collins Bowl. Safe to say that Mack Brown’s squad is not it this year. Virginia got absolutely manhandled by Clemson last week. They did manage to score 21 points after Clemson let off the gas and put their backups into the game. Otherwise, this game was not as close as the score may have indicated. These two matches up pretty well. Will be an interesting matchup.

24. West Virginia @ Arizona

What an embarrassing performance by Arizona last week. I still think Fifita is a good QB, but his team is not doing him any favors at all. The offensive line cannot protect him for his life, and his WRs can’t make plays. Overall, Arizona is not a cohesive team, letting Colorado put up 34 points even though Sanders threw 2 picks. This week, they are hosting West Virginia, who got blasted by Kansas State. Seriously, that game should’ve been an email.

23. Maryland @ Minnesota

Dude, how bad are you USC? I’m not saying Maryland is a bad team by any means, but you blow a 21-7 point lead at halftime when all you had to do is continue playing the way you were playing in the first half. USC is definitely winning the Tank Job of The Week for this week. This week, Maryland will be travelling to Minnesota, who is currently coming off of a bye week after defeating UCLA 21-17.

22. Oklahoma State @ Baylor

Baylor somehow acquired all 6 infinity stones before travelling down to Lubbock, snapping them out of existence by dropping 60 points on them when, before this game, had a nonexistent offense. Unfortunately, this win may keep Aranda at Baylor even longer. Oklahoma State gave a very close scare to BYU, narrowly losing 35-38. Ollie Gordon put up a good performance, and they’ll continue to need him for them to win games.

21. Rutgers @ USC

How do you lose to UCLA? How do you blow a big half time lead? Why are these teams even playing each other this week? Misery? Pain?

20. Georgia Tech @ Virginia Tech

THE 2024 TECH BOWL. Unfortunately, Georgia Tech is not in a great spot right now. After losing Haynes King last week, Tech struggled against Notre Dame, never really finding a good offensive rhythm. VA Tech destroyed Boston College last week in a very stellar offensive performance behind Bhayshul Tuten, who rushed for 266 yards and 3 TDs against what was a decent BC defense. If Haynes King comes back, this game will be much more interesting. However, without King, it may turn out ugly.

19. Louisville @ Boston College

Both teams have a non existent defense. Boston College gave up 42 points to VA Tech last week, while Louisville gave up 52 to Miami. However, this should be a good game between 2 teams that are still statistically good. Louisville is looking to bounce back after that close game, and BC is looking to make up for that lopsided loss last week.

18. Arkansas @ Mississippi State

Arkansas, after a bye week, after taking down a Top 10 Tennessee team, at home, put up an embarrassing performance against LSU. Sam Pittman had no answer to LSU on both sides of the ball. Mississippi State is criminally underrated. Georgia, Texas, and Texas A&M back to back to back is the hardest stretch of games to play in all of CFB, and they actually tested each of these teams. Michael Van Buren is a menace to football, showing great pocket awareness and makes some crazy throws. State could be a contender in the future if they get more defensive players on the team. As such, this game could get very interesting.

17. Tulane @ North Texas

North Texas dropped in last week’s game against AAC powerhouse Memphis 44-52. However, they are still 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference. They host Tulane this weekend, who is also 5-2 but 3-0 in conference play. This will be a great game, showcasing a fast-paced offense from both sides. Defense may be the key in this matchup.

16. Florida State @ #6 Miami

The only thing intriguing about this game is seeing how badly Florida State is gonna get beaten up by.

15. Kansas @ #16 Kansas State

In-state rivalries are never easy. There’s all sorts of crazy tomfoolery that can happen in these games. This is solely the reason why this game could get interesting. On paper, the Wildcats pretty much stomps the Jayhawks in every single category. However, you just cannot count out a rivalry game that could end up being much more interesting than anticipated.

14. #22 SMU @ Duke

LET THE RECORDS SHOW THAT NOBODY BEATS DUKE MORE THAN 23 TIMES INA ROW. For the first time in program history, the Blue Devils defeated the Seminoles in a defensive slugfest. Manny Diaz’s first year tenure is looking better and better every week. Now standing at 6-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play, Duke will now host ACC powerhouse SMU, who handed Stanford an absolute beatdown last week. Will be interesting to see how Duke plans on stopping Kevin Jennings and that receiving core.

13. Michigan State @ Michigan

ATTENTION! ANOTHER IN-STATE RIVALRY GAME! Michigan State looked pretty damn good in their game against Iowa last week. However, I cannot say the same about Michigan, who dropped a pitiful game to Illinois. Michigan is big braining football right now, as they are going full on …
