I’m embarrassed to ask this. I’m 31YO and I have a 3YO daughter. I’m realizing that My mom never taught me how to clean down there. I grew up assuming soap/water but there’s always been…a smell…and I have no idea why. Eventually I’m going to have to teach my daughter and I’m terrified that I’m going to teach her incorrectly. I had a pap a month ago and everything is fine. The doctor just said “use water.” Why is there a smell??? I know you wipe back to front but I swear I’m doing it wrong and it’s driving me insane. My husband has never shamed me and has tried to assuage my anxiety. I grew up being shamed for making the bathroom “smell like period”—I’m pretty sure I still do it. Please help!

Edit: front to back, not back to front. Oops! 🤦🏼‍♀️
