Hi all, I’ve had moments in life either at work or school when after I’ve explained something, a man repeats exactly the same thing I’ve said, as if it was his own idea or like he’s trying to clarify what I said. I’ve doubted myself a lot thinking maybe my English isn’t good enough or I don’t communicate clearly. It’s as if they either didn’t listen to what I said, or think that they can explain it better, even if it means literally repeating the exact same words verbatim. I’m now starting to point out that’s exactly what I said and they’re often like “oh…”
I’ve realized that women never do this to me though, so surely something’s up? Has this occurred to anyone else?
