I’m currently 20, andI’ve never really felt self conscious about this because every period product is designed to to the exact same thing, collect blood and prevent leaks. I personally prefer pads. I always have. I have no interest currently in trying out tampons or cups even though I know they’re good products. Maybe I’ll use them in the future, maybe I won’t. I have no problem if others prefer tampons or cups, if it works for you that’s great! Pads work for me. Is that weird? I’ve had others tell me it’s immature or dirty to use pads as an adult. I’m getting more self conscious about using pads now because of this. I wish we could just use what makes us feel comfortable without judgement.
