I know we like to talk about Playoff snubs but who were some of the biggest NY6 snubs?

2017 TCU comes to mind, especially cause Washington didn’t even make their conference championship (it was Stanford that won the Pac-12 North).

Then 2018 Washington State. I think they still deserved a Fiesta Bowl bid at least, despite losing the Pac-12 North to Washington. But because SEC bias, 9-3 LSU and 9-3 Florida get bids instead. Florida didn’t even beat Kentucky (who had the exact same record) so why were they even considered over Kentucky to begin with? It should’ve been Washington State against either UCF or Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl.

2019 Minnesota not getting a NY6 is rigged too cause they literally beat Penn State but got unfairly punished for losing to a solid Wisconsin team. They should’ve been the ones playing Memphis in the Cotton Bowl.

2020 idk that was the Covid year.

2021 and 2022 I think they actually got it all right. It sucked that Washington didn’t get their preferred Rose Bowl but since Utah and USC were playing in the Pac-12 Championship, they were obviously gonna get preference over the Huskies. 2023 I think it was right for the most part although had Oklahoma State not lost to Southern Alabama or UCF, I would’ve liked an Oklahoma State/Ole Miss Cotton Bowl (and you know the Cotton Bowl would’ve taken us against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, or Texas in a heartbeat cause every time we’ve been there it’s been a sellout and the 2009 edition with us and Texas Tech is still the top-attended one) and sent Penn State to Orlando.
