Congratulations are in order for the Western Illinois Leathernecks! The nation’s longest active losing streak is toast after they beat McKendree 49-32 to break a 27 game losing streak. It is their first since since October 30, 2021. Yes, it is over a Division II team, but for the first time in almost three years the Leathernecks are victorious.

Auburn - (2-3) - Oklahoma did virtually nothing most of the day and the Tigers held a 5 point lead with jsut over four minutes to go. Auburn was DETERMINED to get the loss, however, with a late pick-6 followed by a field goal given up, all in the last few minutes of a 27-20 loss to Oklahoma. All told, Oklahoma scored 17 of its 27 points in the last 9 minutes. That is dedication to the craft of losing, Auburn.

Wake Forest - 1-3 - The Demon Deacons lost a buy game at home to Louisiana 41-38 ona field goal with 52 seconds left.

Kansas - 1-4 - Is Kansas the best 1-4 team in America? They have lead in the second half of all four losses so far.

Purdue - 1-3 - The Boilermakers held Nebraska to a scoreless tie in the first half by blocking two field goals and they trailed just 7-3 entering the fourth quarter before collapsing to a 28-10 loss. Offensive Coordinator Graham Harrell was also fired after the game because the Purdue offense is pretty dismal in FBS level games this year. Purdue scored 49 points against Indiana State and 38 combined against Notre Dame, Oregon State, and Nebraska. The defense also has yet to force a turnover, the only team in America that can say this.

Mississippi State - 1-4 - Lost 35-13 at No. 1 Texas, so not a bad loss at all.
