For a show that only seemed to focus on black musicians, Madonna sure does seem to be brought up a noticeable amount of times. I understand the show was stuck in the 80’s with their culture references, which is probably why the ratings started declining after 1992, but why Madonna? Shouldn’t they have also done parodies revolving around Bon Jovi and U2 or something? If they were going to leave their reference pool in the 80’s. Is it because Madonna was a a big artist in predominantly black music genres?
