I recognize that this may not be the best comparison given the different decades these shows were released, as well as the different cultures depicted (i.e., Italian-Americans and… diet-New Mexican Whites?), but both were well-written dramas that explored themes of family, crime, and the American experience. What was it like watching both shows roll out? Did you think one or both were overrated at the time or in retrospect? Were there other dramas that you found to be more memorable?
NOTE: The title should ask, “How did Breaking Bad compare to the Sopranos…” since the latter was released first.
