I am so sick of hearing all the comments:

  • Sex is overhyped.
  • You don’t need a relationship to be happy.
  • Nothing is wrong with being single.
  • Just work on yourself.
  • Are you asexual? Or saving yourself for marriage?

I DO want a relationship. I’m happy with being a single woman and I’m ready to have companionship. I just got back from my trip to Europe and while it was amazing, it was painful to see all the couples enjoying life.

In my nearly 30 years as a single woman, I have learned who I am. I have set boundaries for myself. I am financially stable. I take care of myself.

Now I want a partner. Someone to share my happiness. But in a city with awful dating market, it may never happen for me. I’m jealous of those who had relationship experience or can have sex. I didn’t want a FWB initially but since the dating market is already so bad, I might consider just finding a sex partner to keep my sexual needs fulfilled. Masturbation isn’t enough for me.

Thanks for reading my rant. I’m so frustrated.
