        “Taste for flesh” is painting us all as either zombies or cannibals. It’s ugly language that attempts to shame people for being normal. “Exhausted the Earth” is a gross exaggeration because the Earth isn’t exhausted. If the Earth was exhausted, humankind wouldn’t be around anymore. We’re still on Earth and still living on and from it, as evidenced by the fact that we’re here making comments on a post.

      A bit, but we’ve basically replaced almost all other land mammals with livestock. Cartoon version, but pretty much on the nose
