My rankings of Non-NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA teams. To qualify you must be a NCCAA member, USCAA member or an independent who plays against 4 year Varsity college teams and can’t be a NCAA or NAIA member. I’m going to try to update this weekly. Leave a comment if any other “schools” should be added.

Let’s meet the teams

The Apprentice School Builders - Real trade School with a real full fledged athletics Department. A Trade school who throughout its history hasn’t granted degrees but instead trade based certificates, until 2023 when they began offering Associate degrees independently and Bachelors degrees through program with Old Dominion University. Full athletic members of USCAA and playing football since 1919.

Atlantis University - Real (For profit) school attempting to have a real athletics department. Private for profit school in the Miami area accredited by the ACCSC and are a full member of USCAA for athletics.

Williamson College of the Trades Mechanics - Real 2 year vocational school with full fledged athletic department. It’s a Judeo-Christian school with no official affiliation who fully pays for all student costs from there schools endowment and private donations. There are accredited through ACCSCT and are a full member of USCAA for athletics.

John Melvins University - Sketchy school attempting to have an athletics department. Private Unaccredited College registered with NCBA and Louisiana BoR, they have supposedly applied for Recognition from the DOE. For athletics they are a new member of the USCAA.

Lincoln University - An Accredited Real College with a new fledgling athletic department. Private Non-profit school founded in 1919 who only got Accredited in 2019 and is accredited by WSCUC, ACICS & IACBE and are a Member of the Southwestern States Intercollegiate Conference for every sport but football where they’re completely independent just playing “buy games” never having played a home game.

Virginia University-Lynchburg - Real HBCU School with a real full fledged athletics Department. Private Christian HBCU School accredited by the TACCS and are a full member of the NCCAA for athletics and a former Member of the USCAA and D2 CIAA having left the NCAA for monetary reasons having played football since the 1920s.

University of Ft. Lauderdale - Real Christian school with a sketchy athletics department. Private non profit school in the Ft. Lauderdale area accredited by the TRACS and are a full member of NCCAA for athletics. The school is located in a strip mall and added the athletics department as a Hail Mary to get more students to enroll.

South Carolina Central Christian College - A unaccredited “school” with a sketchy athletic department. Private college with no accreditation and no major athletic memberships besides conference affiliation with NSAC.

Lighthouse Christian College - A unaccredited “school” with a sketchy athletic department. Private college with no accreditation and no major athletic memberships besides conference affiliation with NSAC.

Westgate Christian University - A semi Accredited bible school with a football team and not much else athletically. Private Christian Bible College with accreditation through NBCA & TACAC. For football they are a complete independent and they are a member of the NSAC for 24/25 however their website lists no other sports besides football and cross country.

SickoBowl Recap

SCCCC 12 vs Lighthouse Christian 35

Lighthouse was able to win 35-12 against SCCCC, the same final score as Kentucky Christian, meaning LHCC could be considered an NAIA quality team. Waiting on the results of this game has been my main sticking point on this weeks ranking as SCCCC said nothing and LHCC accidentally said a different school in their final score post. Unfortunately I’m not able to go into much detail as just finding the score for this game was difficult let alone video or a news report.

Week 2 Rankings

Admittedly these rankings are super hard to do as a lot of these schools don’t play/haven’t played each other before. A lot of it is based off “quality losses” and strength of schedule.

1.) Apprentice Builders (1-1) - Coming back down to earth a bit after the last week. They played WLU close into the third at one point cutting down their lead to 21-27 but the Apprentice defense was unable to stop an oil leak last week on the ground after allowing 446yds on the ground. Leading to a final blowout of 68-28. So despite the strong performances from QB Grant Swanger throwing for 341yds (7th most all time) and DB Josiah Beacham getting 174 receiving yards on offense. Apprentice struggled on the ground only able to muster 15 yards. Last weeks win may have been less impressive than we thought as VLU ended up losing last week 80-0 in in-conference play. VS Thad Stevens College of Tech (NJCAA)

2.) Lighthouse Christian Makos (2-0) - WINNER OF THE SICKO BOWL. Next Week @ Birmingham Prep (Prep)

3.) Virginia-Lynchburg Dragons (0-2) Presbyterian’s 5th straight win against VUL. The Dragons had a rough night on offense. VUL had 78 total yards (0pts) on the game while allowing 448 total yards (52pts). VUL had a rough time on defense even though 5 separate QB’s had saw the field. Next Week @ Morgan St. (FCS)

4.) Ft. Lauderdale Eagles (0-1) The Eagles offense couldn’t take off. UFTL’s QB room combined for 4 INTs 1 of which was returned for a TD. The ground game did ok averaging 4.7yds per carry but bring so far behind most of the game they only carried the ball a dozen or so times. While the defense was able to get a pick 6 early in the game and was able to hold AMU to under 225yds while getting 3 sacks but unfortunately still allowed 35pts. Next Week @ Keiser University (NAIA)

5.) Lincoln Oaklanders (0-3) - Welcome to “Ford Theater” as Lincoln just got killed. After a 0-25 first Quarter the teams looked pretty even in the 2nd quarter opening with 6 straight punts back n forth before MSTU returned one for a touchdown. Third Quarter looked like more of the second but after 10 minutes the Miners broke free for a 94yd Passing TD. Lincoln was able to answer this time with a 74yd Drive capped off by a 24yd passing TD by Trey Dimmings who followed that up on their next offensive drive by throwing a Pick in his own end zone setting up the easy score from the 1 for the minors to take the final lead. 6-45. Next Week @ Webber International (NAIA) (FL)

6.) Williamson Mechanics (0-1) - Fighting ghosts. “Virginia A&M program disbanded. No suitable opponent able to be found on the zero notice they gave us that they no longer existed!” Next Week VS CAPP Academy (Prep)

7.) SC Central Christian College Gladiators (0-3) loser OF THE SICKO BOWL. Next Week VS Gordon State (NCFA)

8.) John Melvin Mellies (0-2) - John Melvin University suffered a tough 46-0 shutout loss to Millsaps at Harper Davis Field on Sunday. Millsaps built a commanding lead early, scoring 26 points in the first quarter, and added two safeties and multiple touchdowns before halftime. Despite holding both teams scoreless in the second half, John Melvin couldn’t recover from the early deficit. Next Week VS Westgate Christian (Sicko)

9.) Atlantis Atlanteans (1-3) - Atlantis has found their footing. Led by game MVP FS Corey Harris scoring 2 safeties and a defensive TD Atlantis was able to win 48-8 against APA. *Next Week VS BYE"

10.) Westgate Christian Ravens (0-2) - A group of ravens is normally called a murder, this group of ravens is just called BAD. Westgate Christian University endured a tough 85-6 defeat against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday night. UMHB dominated from the start, building a 36-6 lead in the first quarter and scoring consistently throughout the game. Westgate struggled to gain momentum, managing only one touchdown, while UMHB racked up over 500 yards of offense and held the Ravens to negative rushing yards. Next Week @ John Melvins(Sicko)

Ultimate Sicko Game of the Week

This week we have a Sicko Bowl!!!

8.) John Melvins (0-2) vs 10.) Westgate (0-2). John Melvins has been able to keep their last few losses in a respectable range including an only 20pt loss to an NAIA opponent while the Ravens have been getting murdered week in and …
