This will obviously look different for all programs/fans. I’m curious as to which QBs left you satisfied by the time they went pro or off to their next adventure; try to stay away from guys who hit the portal if possible. I’m talking players who were “in it for the long haul”. Certainly, discourse is encouraged.
Don’t shit talk guys who underperformed. You never know who reads this shit.
- Most recently, I want to give a shoutout to Adrian Martinez: He didn’t deserve/know what he was walking into.
Taylor Martinez played his ass off for a hardass coach (Pelini) and dazzled for fans, even if his arm didn’t always show it. His first year as starter was my freshman year at Lincoln. We didn’t know each other personally, but walked similar paths between classes during the week. After a few weeks of awkward glances, we began giving each other head-nods as we walked by. Gives me feels thinking about. That dude took a lot scrutiny, too, and that was probably the last time Nebraska had as much hype as they may have now.
