Mike McCarthy and Jimmy Johnson have both coached 5 years as Cowboys head coach. McCarthy is in his 5th year if he wins 2 more games he will surpass Johnson for wins as cowboys head coach to be third overall for most wins as cowboys head coach. Number 2 is Jason Garrett with 85 wins and Tom Landry is number 1 with 250. Honestly its kind of insane how McCarthy is going to surpass Johnson so quickly too.
| Coaches | Wins | Loses | Playoff record |
|---|---|---|---|
| Johnson | 44 | 36 | 7-1 |
| McCarthy | 43 | 23 | 1-3 |
