I remember watching this show when it came out and it was huge. So many awards, constantly quoted and referenced “this guy fucks” etc… But now that time has passed and its been left to simmer, it feels like most people forgot about it.
Shows like The Office, Community, 30 Rock, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Parks and Recs, Workaholics and so many more all managed to hold on to relevancy. But Silicon Valley just feels like it got dropped from cultural relevancy as soon as it finished. No one i know has watched this show or talks about it.
Hot take but it kind of reminds me of The Big Bang Theory, as soon as it finished everyone dropped it. This is a shame in my eyes because Silicon Valley does not deserve to languish in the forgotten comedy zone alongside shows like The Big Bang Theory, 2 and a half men, How I Met Your Mother etc…
So why did everyone just forget about Silicon Valley? Why doesnt it have a cult following the likes of The Office or Community? Was it actually not that good in retrospect or is it something else?
