Im very confused right now , i don’t know what to think ?? but my boyfriend of almost two years came back pos for syphilis after the plasma place told him to go get retested after they got an error in their blood test results. He went to the health department and got tested a second time and it came back positive again, i do trust my significant other and he did mention before we were together (he is bi) that he did have one unprotected encounter with a man a year prior to us dating and he thinks that’s what lead him to this positive result. i would religiously get tested before us dating and got tested a couple months after we got together always came out negative (stds) . He never tested himself ever or never thought to test himself because of course was asymptomatic , im not sure if it’s possible if syphilis can be from the last time he had relations prior to us being together or if he was cheating . I just got tested again since he came out positive and I am still negative. this is all very confusing since he swears up and down he never cheated and that the nurse told him it can stay in your body if you don’t treat it (obviously). I wanted to add that he is going through treatment right now as well.
