I’m looking for cfb players who were way better known/more famous than they should have been given their on the field skill level. It might be because they were great at another sport (Jeremy Bloom the Olympic skier playing WR at Colorado), they had some kind of unique look that made them instantly recognizable (Hot Rod the goggled GA kicker), they were in the news at the time for something unrelated to football (Shaun Wade and the Covid protests), or because they were a huge a-hole (Tate Martell).
Anything where they were well known at the time as cfb players, and they weren’t good enough that they should’ve been.
