Original Title: Since Patrick Mahomes became a starter in 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs have passed for a total of 29,391 yards or 4,898 per regular season. Surprisingly that ranks only second in the NFL behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 29,434 yards
source:
I knew the Bucs were going to be in the top5, but I didn’t realize Jameis and Fitzpatrick passed for over 5k yards in 2018 the year before Jameis’ solo 5k 30 for 30 season. It was almost as crazy from a turnover perspective with 36 TDs and 24 INTs with Jameis’ and Fitzpatrick’s output combined.
Also a funny turn of events that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have turned themselves into a passing game behemoth considering Josh Freeman was the franchise’s first 4k yard passer in 2012.
So maybe there is hope for Bears fans after all.
