In my ideological journey as a libertarian, the main opponents of our ideology default to a appealing to bandwagon, emotion, authority and appealing to people

The statists appeal to bandwagon when they go “every other nation has free healthcare” “everyone else banned guns and are fine”

The statists appeal to emotion by saying libertarians just want poor people to die or they hate the lower class/women/minorities/etc idk how much more clear I can get with this

Appealing to authority: the statists’ biggest sin. Government knows what’s best for the individual because IT alone has power. We’ve seen this during the last 2 years with ‘trust the experts’ as if experts and people in power cannot be fallible or malicious .

Appealing to people. It’s similar to appealing to bandwagon but it rests on people themselves doing an action that warrants justifying statism. People are left uncheck therefore government is the solution to a problem.

One cannot reach to the conclusion that statism is the best choice without directly ignoring that value is subjective and objective morality has not be proven. Thus statism is illogical or appeals to the aforementioned fallacies
