While it may stray vastly from the books, Wheel of Time is an amazing and grossly underrated TV show. There is a good amount of monologues and long conversations but I believe it ranks high within fantasy television series. It offers a beautiful world and landscapes, complex characters and multiple perspectives, a bunch of storylines, many magical and supernatural elements, love stories, and it honestly always keeps you guessing.
Before making a judgment I suggest you watch and finish the first episode and then decide. I really didn’t think I was going to like it, but it took me by surprise. I’m now on my third rewatch!!
