I (26F) have a sister named Kylie (30F) who has always tried to copy me. I know that sometimes siblings, especially sisters, tend to copy each other, but this has gone too far.

When we were younger, my friends used to think we were twins because of how much she copied me. Every shirt I had, she had. Every friend I had, she had. Every BOYFRIEND I had, SHE HAD!!! We never got along, and shes been keeping this up for my whole life!

(Before I get to the rest of the story, I just want to mention that she has never been diagnosed with any mental illnesses that could cause her behavior, it’s most likely just jealousy.)

I thought she had stopped when my boyfriend (now husband) proposed to me when I turned 25. She did for a while, until the day of the wedding.

I planned for my big day to go perfectly; who wouldn’t? I was excited and so happy to finally be married to the love of my life. We allowed guests to wear whatever they wanted, as long as it wasn’t white. Well, turns out my sister “didn’t see it on the invitation” and showed up in a long, white, elegant wedding dress.

I asked her to go change before the ceremony started but she refused. I didn’t want to argue and ruin my mood, so I asked our mom if she could get Kylie to change.

The ceremony went perfectly and I wish I could relive it. But I won’t spare the details or this post would be too long. Immediately after, I went to go look for my sister to see if she changed. She didn’t; and it turns out she was talking to my husband in a corner of the room. How sketchy is that?? I asked Kylie why she didn’t change and she said that she didn’t feel like it. I was really trying to compose myself since this was supposed to be my special day, but I couldn’t. I brang her to one of the changing rooms of the hall and told her to change into the dress I was going to wear when I left. It was a simple red dress that she had no reason to deny wearing. I left her alone to change and went back to my husband.

This whole part is really a blur so spare me if I don’t include many details. My husband tells me what they were talking about. He said something about her saying that they could get together and I don’t have to know but he was telling her to stop. All I can remember after that is security kicking her out of the hall. My parents and few guests were mad at me but I told them they could join Kylie outside if they wanted. The rest of the night was perfect and I don’t regret my decision, but I’ve received a bunch of angry dms from my sister and her friends and few guests who are mad at me for kicking my own family out of the wedding! I don’t think they understand how many times she’s done this, but the fact that she had the nerve to do it on my WEDDING DAY??? AITA??

I’m not sure where to squeeze this into, so I’m leaving it back here. My sister has a boyfriend and they’ve been together for 3 years when this occured.
