I(19f) has a motorcycle (5 gear).
The issue is with my nephew M(8).
Yesterday, while I was praying(we’re Muslim) I heard my nephew H(3) tell M: “but she told you not to do that. She’ll get mad”. They both knew I was in prayer in our living room. They were right outside. My motorcycle is always parked next to our verandah.
I heard H and left my prayer and took a peak and M was playing with my gear shift; and he wasn’t even holding the clutch! Just playing with the gear… Horrifying.
I simply asked: “didn’t I ask you many times… To not touch my bike?”. He just laughed and went his way(we’re neighbours too).
After the prayer, I started up my motorcycle to go out and the gear was stuck at third. Now, I know for a fact that it wasn’t on third, because I always leave it on Neutral. I was mad again, but just changed my gear.
The gear was stuck at third. I panicked; tried changing it and after five whole minutes, I managed to get it right.
HE LOCKED MY GEAR SHIFT
I got mad, yelled at him because I’ve been asking him and all my other niblings to not go near motorcycle (that thing weighs 421 lbs/191 kg) and if that had fallen over him, it definitely would’ve been MY fault.
Now his mum(my cousin is mad) at me and so is his grandfather (my uncle). AITA?
ETA: I do have good relationships with all my niblings; I buy their favourite candies(I know all their favourite flavours), spend time with them and sometimes help them out with schoolwork and stuff.
