The 2024 College Football season fast approaches! We’re excited for the season to start, and it’s a great time to take the opportunity to review the rules of our community.
All of our rules stem from our mission statement, /r/CFB is a welcoming community celebrating fun, camaraderie, and creativity in all of college football. These rules may continue to evolve over time to adapt and best serve the community. Our primary goal is to write rules that are clear and able to be enforced consistently.
Linked at the top are our general rules, which apply to all comments, as well as a fairly specific set of post rules. Make sure to review the latter in particular if you’d like to post on /r/CFB. We try to strike a balance between giving people the flexibility to be creative while also providing productive spaces for user-led discussion.

- Ban Policy: Try not to get banned, but if you do, here’s where you can find your next steps!
- Recruiting & Draft Posts: These have some pretty specific rules to make it easy for users to search for posts and avoid reposts, read them in detail if you’re looking to submit posts on these subjects. And we have a newly improved recruiting post generator]()!
Weekly Threads
One other thing to note is that with the offseason mercifully over, the full complement of weekly threads are coming back online. What that means is that some posts that would be approved during the offseason will now be removed because they belong as top-level comments in a weekly thread. This includes Playoff and Realignment posts. They would be approved again after the CFP Final.
