With the 2023 season just around the corner, we’re excited to announce that we’ve added 3 new volunteers to join our mod team! Please give a warm welcome to /u/CaptainScuttlebottom, /u/AppStateFooseBall, and /u/Ugaalive1991!
All of them have gone through training and are full members of our team now, and are already playing a big role in shaping the future of the community. None of them are paid, which surprisingly no one has complained about yet.
Here’s a little more about each of them, from the ones that wanted to share:
/u/CaptainScuttlebottom: Hello! I haven’t been around much in the offseason, but you might remember me from such classic posts as the “r/CFB imperialism map” series, the “r/CFB game thread analysis” series, or maybe even “Congrats to the Miami Hurricanes and Jimbo Fisher on winning the 2022 u/PFB slam victim of the year award”. I have joined the mods to help out with their bots / tools (I’m trying to brush up on my python skills), and also to get access to their juicy behind-the-scenes data, because I’m a sicko freak who is obsessed with charts. I am equally a fan of KU and OU (when they come into conflict I root for whoever has the most to lose, so Oklahoma usually takes precedence in football) and, accordingly, I’m also a big college basketball fan.
/u/AppStateFooseBall: Wait, this isn’t paid?! I’m AppStateFooseball. Besides obviously being an App State Football fan I’m a North Carolina native and a big outdoorsman. I’ve been an active member of the community for a long time and look forward to helping to make r/cfb the best place to discuss college football besides a tailgate.
/u/Ugaalive1991: Hello everyone. It’s ugadead1991, I mean ugaalive1991. I grew up in a small town outside of Athens and grew up, well peer pressured, into being a UGA fan in elementary school. I live in North Carolina now and on my free time I like to go fishing at the coast.
We’re really excited for another great year on /r/CFB, and excited to continue building the best college football community in the world. Here’s to another great year of college football!
