A great many shows, including some of my favourites, take a number of episodes to ramp into the actual reason why people love them. As a new viewer, you’ll frequently be told: “Just wait until episode/season X, that’s when it gets really good”
One of the best qualities of Amazon Prime’s “The Boys” in my opinion is that it starts immediately. Within the first 5 minutes, you get introduced to the lead character and the inciting incident. By that point, you’re probably either hooked or can decide that the show likely isn’t for you.
What other shows have you found which set the ball rolling immediately?
