To let everyone know, i came into this show with a fresh mind, i never ever watched the movie and i never read the books. So for me this was a completely new experience from the start.

This show has one of the best seasons ep opener’s I’ve seen in a very long time. The last time i felt amazed by an ep 1 was with The Walking Dead and The Last of Us…

AMC just doesn’t miss. They have some of the greatest shows of all time under their belt and i feel like this one is headed that way despite being underrated (not as popular as the other shows)

This episode felt like a movie, with it’s beginning and it’s end… it was 1 hour and 11 minutes long, the cinematography was amazing, the acting was insanely good, the writing was everything. The aesthetics, the ambient, the music, the fashion, the story/plot engaged me from the start… It was just a beautiful and horrifying opening for the season and this entire series.

I really feel like reading the book after finishing that. But i will watch the series instead to have a fresh mind and be amazed by it. I really don’t understand how this show isn’t as popular. Im dumbfounded by that fact…

Vampire Diaries have ALWAYS been my favorite vampire story, but why do i feel like it’s time on being my favorite is finally over? I really hope this show continues to get better or at least maintain this level of quality. Because if not i will be very disappointed.

If you haven’t watched it yet, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Go watch it now. I regret not doing so earlier …

(edit: And btw i didn’t expect gruesome gore that fast lmfao… i actually didn’t expect gore like that at all. Of course is a vampire show but i only thought there would be neck blood and that’s it but … Surprise lol))
