I was on a another site and I posted something about about being an ugly woman.
A very short summary: I was mainly talking about men saying horrible things, making truck reversing beebing sounds, totally ignoring me in social settings and the fact that I’m almost 40 and I’ve never been even asked an a single date - nevermind anything else.
Now these are just facts. That’s all. That’s all I said and I did not compare my situation or life to anyone else’s. Mostly I was talking about loneliness.
And all I got was so many comments saying I couldn’t possibly be ugly, none of the have apperently seen an ugly person ever, it must be my personality that makes me ugly, I have low self-esteem, I’m negative. And my favorite! I should be happy that I’m unattractive, because it’s the attractive women who actually suffer the most!
It was absolutely crazy.
Now I’m just left wondering why the reaction was so negative and many seemed almost hostile and aggressive.
What happened?
I don’t know if it matters but it was woman heavy site.
