Original Title: There’s dozens of confirmed examples of point shaving/match fixing in CBB & the NBA. The most egregious CFB gambling story I can find is the 1996 Boston College program self-reporting that 2 players bet against their own team. Does fixing not occur in football or has it just not been caught?

Obviously there are instances of individual players with gambling problems, such as Ohio State’s Art Schlicter, who ammased hundreds of thousands of dollars of gambling debt during his time in college and ultimately was forced to become and FBI informant once a bookie said that he needed to throw an NFL game to help pay off his debt. Still, there’s no evidence, or even allegations, that he ever was betting against his own team or rigging games whether in college or in the NFL.
