In a theater where it was a sea of hot pink and magenta, I was laughing the entire time while watching Barbie.

It is the it movie of the summer! It’s so cleverly written, so brilliant! Barbie is truly the movie to die for (geddit lol).

Exhilaratingly exuberant and vibrant! What I love about this movie is that it doesn’t take itself seriously, but it does an absolute brilliant job subverting patriarchy and its privilege. The jokes aim to uplift, be it Barbie, Ken, Allen, lol. It packs a powerful punch with its empowering messages and comedy.

Just brilliant! No one can out-do Barbie. This is the movie to watch.

Also, I am with Ken. I am Kenough.

EDIT: While Barbie is fresh and amazingly produced, it is not without flaws. This article, for instance, points out a problematic moment of the movie poignantly.

Feminism, diversity, and inclusion still have a long way to go, but I am thankful for my feminist sisters and all human rights activists who came before me, and who are still here with me to fight the good fight. Barbie opens up a lot of dialogues about the world that we live in, and that’s what’s needed. A step.

Example, Barbie opened up dialogues about women’s health, thanks to its ending.
