Rick and Morty started out as scrappy sketch Internet parody of Back to the Future.
The satire isn’t deep. It’s basically an imagining of Doc Brown as a drunken nonce who demands Marty lick his balls. Uncomfortably, Roiland at his most Roiland. Hard to believe it’s the origin of one the most popular cartoons of all time.
