  • These are straight line distances measured using Google Earth.
  • They are rounded to the nearest 5. Distances are approximate!
  • I used city names in the columns for sizing purposes

Takeaways:

  • The overall conference average is 469 miles (nice).
  • Texas easily has the largest average distance.
  • Mississippi State has the smallest average distance, just slightly below Bama & Ole Miss.
  • Starkville to Tuscaloosa is the closest (Slightly closer than Starkville & Oxford)
  • Austin to Columbia, SC is the furthest (the only distance over 1k)
  • The biggest surprise I noticed was that Austin is closer to Knoxville than it is to Gainesville.
