There seems to be a lot of misconceptions surrounding the ACC GOR so here’s the 2013 version. It obviously different from the latest version but it should help everyone get an idea of what to expect from the newer one. Here is a summary of what it includes:

• The purpose of the Agreement is to enhance the stability of Conference membership and confirm the commitment among Member Institutions.
• The Conference previously entered into a Multi-Media Agreement with ESPN, Inc. and ESPN Enterprises, Inc. in 2010.
• The Agreement grants the Conference exclusive rights necessary to perform its obligations under the ESPN Agreement.
• Each Member Institution agrees to fulfill its contractual obligations under the ESPN Agreement during the Term (from the Effective Date until June 30, 2027).
• The Conference owns or will own the copyrights to the Works, and each Member Institution grants the Conference the right to create and own copyright in those Works.
• Each Member Institution agrees to cooperate with the Conference in protecting its federal copyright ownership interest in the Works.
• The Conference will not admit new members unless they agree to be bound by this Agreement and grant the Conference the necessary rights with respect to the sports in which they participate as Conference members.
• The Member Institutions acknowledge the irrevocability of the rights granted during the Term and represent that they have the right and capacity to enter into the Agreement.
• Each Member Institution agrees not to enter into any agreements inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement and not to take actions that would affect the validity and enforcement of the granted rights.
• Member Institutions provide reasonable access to their properties and facilities to ESPN and its sublicensees throughout the Term.
• The Agreement can only be modified in writing by the Conference and each Member Institution.
• The Agreement supersedes all prior agreements and understandings related to the grant of rights. If any provision is deemed invalid, it will be amended to the extent necessary to reflect the original intent of the parties.
