As a Michigan fan, the “Trouble with the snap” loss to Michigan State was the most painful loss in the moment I can remember.

Looking back, I truly believe Michigan losing that game prevented Ohio State from winning the National Championship that year.

If Michigan wins against MSU, Ohio State wins the East instead of MSU and makes the playoff. For my money, no one was beating Ohio State in the playoff that year. Instead, MSU loses to Bama and the rest is history.

What are some other examples where your team lost a game that sucked in the moment, but in hindsight it prevented a less desirable result from happening?
