Spoilers for Mare of Easttown!
I watched the show after it aired, knowing it had won emmys for the two leads, Kate Winslet and Evan Peters, and Julianne Nicholsonwho plays the best friend character.
The actor was totally fine and did a good job, but come the final episode they hadn’t really gotten much screen/plot time or done anything attention worthy, but knowing they’d won an emmy and gotten rave reviews, it planted the seed in my head that there would obviously be a twist, or major plot point, in the final episode concerning them, and the overall crime at the center of the show.
Which, yep. That was the case. And they knocked it out of the park, but the surprise had been slightly diluted as I had gone in expecting a big ACTING moment.
