This show is so badly shot. it is absurd.
you have these fantastic actors and every scene is totally destroyed by either shaky cam or extensive use of background blur.
even when jake is sitting and talking, the camera is still in full shaky cam mode. like the director is drunk. how on earth can you shoot a drama with shaky cam. you have to be some kind of next level idiot, ruining every scene. even when you get a close up, the camera is still moving around. has this serie been shot on a ship?
and then the extensive background blur. there is 0 detail in it. why bother with 4K etc when all you see is of people talking and you see nothing of the background. it is all blurred. clearly the director does not care about picture quality at all.
all you need to do is setup a steady camera and let these people act. these are great actors. they can remember more then 1 line! for example in the courthouse. it would be great to see his family react on what jake was saying. buy no of course not, blur the hell out of everything on the background.
now if this was a cheap serie with C- actors i can imagine because of the budget. but this serie can not have been cheap and then to ruin every freaking scene with over use of blur and shaky cam, it just annoyed the hell out of me. movies from 60+ years ago look better then high budget series from 2024!
