I think a lot of ancaps really shoot themselves in the foot and seem to be intellectually dishonest when they default argue that a state will always do something less effectively, despite evidence to the contrary.

This is your reminder that it is okay to admit that the state can do certain things better. Remember, we are trying to convince people that overall, states are far more detrimental to society than they are of benefit!

A state may do, for example, defense better in an ancap society, but does that make up for rampant socalism for the rich? No.

Does it make up for greatly reduced efficiencies in supply chains, from the vehicles you drive to the food you eat, due to their special-interest-created regulations? No.

Does it make up for the stifling of health care supply? No.

Does it make up for the state-sponsored racism we see in almost every country in history? No.

Don't sound like a hemp salesman saying that hemp can be used for tshirts and rope but also can be used for power generation and can basically cure cancer.

When you run into people who think your ideas are dumb because they are not perfect, simply remind them instead of alllllllllll the damage states have down over the centuries.
