I had fun thinking about this last year so I figured I’d do it again!

Last season, Duke was taken off the list of power schools who had never hosted GameDay. Now there’s a new addition because SMU is a P4 school.

The bad news for California, Illinois, Maryland, Rutgers, SMU, Syracuse, and Virginia fans is that frankly these teams are all projected to be average at best this year except for SMU. If I had to put money down on any of these teams, it would be the Ponies when Florida State visits on September 28.

As far as potential drought enders go, USC hasn’t hosted in over 11 years, Mizzou hasn’t hosted in 14 years, and K-State hasn’t hosted since 2000. I think all get a chance this year. And sadly for myself, I doubt the novelty of Northwestern’s temporary stadium on the Lake Michigan shore will be enough for Corso and co.
