I just watched the last season of The Outlaws. The second season was such a perfect ending to the story I was surprised to see they made another one, especially when it wasn’t nearly as good as the first two.

It had me thinking about how many shows there are that are perfect if you just pretend they ended at a certain point. Some of the ones I thought of were:

  1. House of Cards - The fourth season is still quite good but ending it on the third makes so much sense.
  2. Grey’s Anatomy - It’s a shame that the show has become what it has, but I would honestly put it’s first 10 seasons up there with the best TV ever. Beyond Breaking Bad, beyond The Wire, beyond The Sopranos, or any other show that people say is the best.
  3. Glee - Not a shock that a show about a high school glee club should’ve ended when they graduate.
  4. Jane the Virgin - S3E10 when Michael dies is a perfect telenovela ending.
  5. Weeds - First three seasons are unlike anything I’ve watched, then it just turns to shit.

I was wondering if there were other shows that were hampered by not ending at the right time. Shows like Glee where a 6 rating on iMDB doesn’t tell the whole story.
