My mom, for some reason, has an issue with my chest size. It’s not THAT big to cause back pain (and my deepest condolences for that.), I’m pretty sure I can tell if my back was hurting because of my breasts. They’re not!! I’m 5’ and last I checked they are 36/38D (DD at some shops) so they are just over a handful of boob. Sure they have some weight to it, but I don’t think they are on the sagging side? They are perky, but gravity exists… They are also pretty similar size, it’s not really noticeable unless you are seeing me naked or feeling them yourself.
Anyway while I was inside trying on the bras, I could hear the staff talking to my mom about how my current wireless and hookless bra isn’t giving my breasts enough support. And because of that, it causes my boobs to hang lower. She mentioned how my boobs are different sizes (mentioned my right one was smaller to my mom for… Why?? wtf??) because my breasts weren’t getting enough support too. She said how if I don’t wear bras that give full support ‘for my size’, then it will get worse and I will have back pain in the future.
Now because of body issues, I have done lots of googling about “is ____ normal?” I knew everything she mentioned was straight up false 😭 Except I’m still unsure about whether bra or not will affect my size in anyway, but I googled quickly after the situation and found out it really wouldn’t change anything. Correct me if I’m wrong on that.
Is making women feel insecure about their breasts some technique for them to sell bras? And why was the staff just telling my mom about my personal information about my breasts like that, WTF! I’m not ashamed or embarrassed, just super weirded out. Like surely this isn’t normal??
