I come from a country where women usually choose to dress modestly and as the years are going by, we are taking our rights to wear what we want. I dress modestly too so I just wanted this to come from me as I won’t get backlash.
I completely support the right to wear modest clothing if the woman wants it cause let’s be honest a person’s value is not in her clothes.
However I have seen women wearing long sleeved black head covering garments in the sun. The material is bad as well.
Some of my friends tell me how uncomfortable it is but they have to wear it while some just pretend it’s okay.
But nowadays we have days where we celebrate a specific garment that has been oppressing women for centuries.
Like wear what you want and feel empowered but don’t pretend like it’s not a result of a oppressive culture and religion.
