I feel like as time goes on. The ACC looks more and more safe. There are currently 17 members in the ACC, even if FSU and Clemson leave (which I’m not even 100% sure that happens at this point) that’s not necessarily a death blow. They could add someone like Tulane USF or Memphis. Also where are the other teams going to go? The Big Ten and SEC don’t seem interested in expanding at this time. The Big XII may. But I’m not convinced most ACC schools will spend the exiting fee just to go to the Big XII. Maybe Pitt and Louisville just to rejoin WVU and Cincinnati. But that’s it. I think the death of the ACC has been overblown. For the majority of current members it is in their best interest to remain in the ACC.
