So I’m a 24 m and I came back abroad from Germany (I’m british) now when we landed I was absolutely shattered, so I wanted a taste of home so I went to a local shawama place ordered my food and sat down now I pull my phone to message my friends to come pick me up and to mu dad I’m home.
Now here is where the family comes into this, so a few minutes go by and I here a loud scoff now I’ve always been curious. So I look over and see this 40 is woman and her son who looks no older than 10. Here’s where I think I might be the asshole I say “excuse me, is there a problem.” The woman replied with “oh no it’s just at our house we don’t use our phones when we eat, it’s unhealthy.” Now what I said could’ve been nicer but I honestly stand by what I said “lady I’m a grown man, also this isn’t your house it’s a public restaurant, so please mind your own business and stop trying to dictate my life.” And she stood up with her son and demands I apologise for ruining her night so I just say as calmly as possible “you started this interaction.” If looks could kill I’d be cremated
