Hi All,
I was on a flight today, with a toddler who can’t yet walk. This means I get to have the joy of carrying a 30 lb kid down the aisle of an airplane, with turbulence and a diaper changing kit. It’s lots of fun, I assure you.
There was not one, but two, separate men who decided that it would be appropriate to “man-spread,” (wide open their knees) into the aisle of the airplane. The flight attendant did her best to address this, but she can’t babysit them the whole flight.
It created this really awkward dynamic where myself (and everyone else) had to repeatedly ask this person to move out of the aisle, say excuse me, or just run roughshod over him. He had the nerve to get huffy when I had to say “excuse” me to him after my return from the bathroom with the toddler.
Any ideas as to how to address this? I don’t feel like I’m being the entitled one when I need to use a COMMUNAL airplane aisle. The flight attendant probably spoke to him over a dozen times, so telling her didn’t seem like a realistic option.
