I see women posting about being embarrassed/feeling bad about doing stuff on their own pretty often on here.

I feel like men don’t have that as much? Like, is it just me or is it more common/less judged for a man to go solo backpack around the world for a year? or to go to a concert alone or whatever?

I do stuff alone often, including hike, travel, go to restaurants, concerts, shows. I have people to do this stuff with at times, too, but something I’ve realized is that sometimes I prefer to be alone. Like, an ideal vacation is going with friends somewhere new, then they all leave and I stay 2 or 3 days afterwards to be alone with my own thoughts and do the things I wanted to do that the group didn’t get around to. But I do feel judged for it sometimes, and I wonder if men have that experience, too - (where i know the ‘feeling judged” thing is largely internal)
