NFL Films Greatest Games 1999 SB Rams Titans 1 yard short
A wild game, great players. Titans traditional offense with QB Steve McNair and esp RB Eddie George and a defense led by Def end Jevon Kearse.
The Greatest Show on Turf Kurt Warner Rams were lighting up the scoreboard 33 points per gam with a few HOFers all pros Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk. They had to overcome hardcore physical defenses to go all the way, usually #1 offenses with MVP QBs don’t survive that. They beat the Bucs 11-6 to face the peaking Titans. Titans D was better postseason then reg season.
Fun Fact: between Kurt Warner and 2022 Mahomes, NO MVP QBs Won Superbowls, and only 2009 Saints won it all with #1 Offense but Brees didn’t win MVP. This is important, because fans keep calling the greatest QBs choke artists when that’s what happens when you have a #1 offense…unless the D is elite too.
