It’s been nearly 5 years since the massive Emmy hit, HBO sensation ended without all that much fanfare.
For those who don’t know it’s a “ house of cards” style contest between royal families in a fantasy world, complete with dragons.
It’s sort of odd in that there is a book series that was written long before it; that is supposed to comprise 7 books. The fifth one was released in 2011 and the author has zero solid frame of when the next one will be finished.
As “ high brow” and “ cutting edge” as people thought it was at some level I thought it was just 80s style sword and sorcery ( Conan the barbarian, Xena etc) which was made out to be more than what it really was.
Did you all like it? Is it good tv? Why was it forgotten so quickly?
