Which characters do you think were badly handled in later seasons of TV shows?
For me, The West Wing had several characters who were badly handled. The worst was probably Toby Ziegler, who leaked classified government secrets, and was convicted for this, only to have his prison sentence pardoned by President Bartlet in the final episode. This character development is really different from the character we got to know in earlier seasons. For another example, Sam Seaborn’s exit from the show was abrupt, but Rob Lowe apparently wanted to leave the show, so they had to do something.
