Is it just me or is this the perfect show to leave on in the background of your life? There’s something soothing about the lack of volume the shows possess. Yes you’ll get a scream, a gun shot, or a Scully/Mulder spat, and the occasional Duchovny trademark overacting. Other than that, it’s the low hums of a synth-gasm generating this solemn but sometimes piercing hopeful sting. Plus, the theme song never gets old. And always puts everything right. Alright. Season 8. I like Robert Patrick in this, always did! John Doggett’s cool af. Anyway, glad they also put a lot of Mark Snow’s music out for those times in the car.
