****Couple notes, limited to no legendaries, and one ghost pokemon per team, k what you guys would pick and your thoughts, we going 17-0???
HC: Cynthia, (former Champion herself, has garnered the respect of the locker room, has enough skins on the wall to keep’em all in line)
QB- Blaziken (you cannot tell me this wouldnt be Mahomes in a Pokemon)
WR1- Salamence (true “#1, or X” receiver, can do anything, get vertical, enough attack power to win contested balls, ppl have described them as going “nuclear” or “mega” in big time games, always shows up)
WR2- Greninja (technical route runner, true dirty work kinda receiver, defenses describe him literally “disappearing” in the secondary, really understands zone coverages and exploits their gaps)
WR3- Sceptile (the burner/speed guy, takes the top off the defense, probably also the KR, been doing it a long time but still has some legs)
C- NidoKing, (perhaps our biggest veteran presence on offense, really lays the groundwork and take pressure off the qb, athletic enough to get out on blocks on the edge, makes the ground “shake” on some pancake blocks I’ve seen)
TE- Swampert (big enough to maintain blocks, athletic enough to get out in space and route run)
RB1-Jolteon (a true home run threat, can slip in between gaps and hit holes hard)
RB2- Gengar (quite literally no one can touch him, innate ability to disappear behind blockers, very shifty and hard to bring down)
OL- Rhyperior, Metagross, Bastiodon, Nidoqueen, Aggron, Slaking, (this cast here gives us versatility with size and athleticism depending on injuries, and team needs, opponent etc. most likely Slaking on the bench, all the talent just needs a little motivation, wake this dude up though and there’s no stopping him)
DL- Dusknoir, Electivire, Grimmsnarl, Exeggutor (Alolan form) (these are all guys who have the length to bat down passes, width to eat up blocks and can make tackles. They all have the reach, in one way or another.)
EDGE - Steelix, Tyrantrum, Machamp (long and strong, they can get around the corner but have the length/reach in order to secure tackles)
SS- Talonflame, (speed and athleticism to close down on passes, can hammer receivers hard, impressive vertical)
FS-Pidgeot (this is the secondarys field general, not as fast as the new guys but has been around and seen it all, will be our veteran presence on the outside, can fill in most places in the secondary)
CB1- Greninja (can run with anybody, offenses say it’s like he disappears sometimes, savvy and athletic)
CB2- Gallade (great speed and physicality, this our true 1-on-1 man corner, pretty much knows what the offense is thinking)
CB3 Nickel/Slot- Scizor (has speed to keep up with many WRs in the league, but also the strength to fill the gaps in the run game, not afraid to get physical and make tackles, definitely our ST’s MVP.)
CB3- Pharamosa (lots of raw ability, needs to put on weight but if they put it all together, can become an elite player)
ROLB- Rampardos (this is our hammer, can be okay in the passing game in certain coverages but elite run stopping LB)
MLB- Charizard, can be Charizard X for the playoffs (our other field general/veteran presence, what’s more to say? Future HOF’er, done it all, can pretty much fly around, really soaks up the middle of the field, enough attack power to make tackles, just does it all)
LOLB- Incineroar (our heart and soul on the defense, presence can be felt on the whole field, doesn’t stop trash talking, super physical, definitely puts fear into offensive player
