WE’RE GOING THROUGH EACH P4 TEAM’S SCHEDULE AND PICKING EVERY GAME.

Today we have the Maryland Terrapins.

The Taulia Tagovailoa era brought the Terps three straight winning seasons, but they were never able to get over the 8-win hump. Now they lose Tagovailoa but also no longer have to play in the Big Ten East where every year started with 3 automatic losses.

In 2024, Maryland avoids both Michigan and Ohio State, but they get Oregon and USC in their place. Road trips to Eugene and Happy Valley will be seen as losses, but hosting USC will be circles as a game they could get if the Trojans still have significant flaws.

Also, who is the QB this year? Seriously, do we know who it is yet? Is this season really MJ Morris or bust? This defense is going to be good enough to keep the Terps in games, but will they be able to score?

Picking this schedule was brutally comedic. Could this team really start 6-0 and finish 0-6? How frustrating would that be…

I have them favored in all of their first 6 games and over their final 6, I currently only have them favored in 1, which is hosting a Rutgers team that has lofty goals of their own this year.

The unknown at QB gives Maryland and wide range in possibilities for this season. I see the floor as 4-8 if they can’t go on the road and win at Indiana or Virginia, but if they can get to 6-0, there are opportunities at Minnesota and hosting Rutgers. Get one or both of those and it will be a 4th straight winning season in College Park.

How do you see it?
